Spaces, and the lives they contain, can be static, bound by tradition, showing little change or progress. Spaces can be fixed in time and space. Yet even if we remain stationary, with deliberation and care we can reveal a space to itself and uncover its hidden truths. Static was filmed in a recently vacated basement flat in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
