An isolated man in a coastal caravan park becomes infatuated with some young visitors. The fragments of narrative arise from and unfold within specific spatial conditions and are linked by figure-ground shifts. A figure-ground shift occurs when background becomes foreground and vice versa. In the film figure-ground shifts occur in each scene, visually and aurally. They also occur in the movement between locations; from places where the figure is spatially dominant to where the ground dominates.
